From the North entering the city on I-85
Take I-85 south to Exit 36. Exit 36 exits to the right, but you will want to turn left at the top of the ramp. This is Brookshire Freeway. Take the North Tryon Street Exit; turn left onto North Tryon Street going away from the uptown. Turn right on 36th Street and go three-tenths miles. Take a right onto Charles Avenue. You will go two blocks to the stop sign. This is the intersection of Charles Avenue and Whiting Avenue. Turn right, traveling in front of the campus, turn left into the north parking lot. This will make the entrance to the library and offices easy. You have arrived!
From the South entering the city on I-85

Come into Charlotte heading west on Highway 74. As you near the Uptown, bear right onto Brookshire Freeway.
